It’s Don Jazzy again!
The top shot producer has once again shown his philanthropic side with a shocking gesture.
He recently met up with another very talented producer Osaretin Osabuohien a.k.a. Sarz and handed him his ‘Producer of the Year’ award which he won at the 2012 Nigerian Entertainment Awards.

SOCIAL ISSUES: Breaking News: Supreme Court sacks 5 Governors

ABUJA, - The Supreme Court on Friday sacked five state governors whose tenure elapsed in May 29 last year.
The governors are Ibrahim Idris (Kogi), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Timipre Sylva (Bayelsa), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto) and Liyel Imoke (Cross River). They are all members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).  The decision was taken by a seven-member panel chaired by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Dahiru Musdapher. Other members of the panel are Justices Mahmud Mukhtar, Walter Onnonghen, Chukwuma Ene, Ibrahim Coomasie, Olufunlola Adekeye and Mary Peter-Odili. The judgment is in an appeal by the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The appellants are challenging the decision of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which upheld the decision of an Abuja Federal High Court that extended the tenure of the five governors beyond May 29, 2011. |

SHOCKING: 8 years Old Girl Raped and Murdered By Father's Friend

Our correspondent learnt that the girl’s
younger brother, Obedient, was present in the house and he overheard
Atagha asking her to go out with him so that he could buy her something.
The boy said he warned his sister not to go out since it was late. When it was 9.30 pm, the girl’s family began to look for her. Francis said they were worried since she had never stayed out late at night and nobody in the house had sent her on errand. Later, he asked Obedient whether he knew the whereabouts of the girl and was informed that Atagha had taken her out. Francis said, “When we did not see her throughout the night, my friends, including my tenants and I went to Atagha’s house to ask him about my daughter’s whereabouts. “He denied ever seeing the girl that day. He told us that we had come to incur his wrath for something he had no knowledge of. But when he noticed that we were very serious, he ran away and we did not see him for many days. “When we took the matter to his family, he appeared and confessed that he did it and that we should not let any other person hear about the matter.” Francis had quickly informed the police about the matter immediately and Atagha was arrested. He said, “I only did my bit by informing the police about the alleged killer of my daughter. Because I am poor, many people seem to take advantage of my situation and treat me badly. “I don’t know if the police will be able to avenge my daughter’s death. My daughter was easy-going, obedient and loving. I could not imagine how somebody – not even my own friend–could do this type of thing to me. The world is wicked. This is an abominable offence.” Francis said that his daughter’s corpse was still lying in the bush where Atagha allegedly hacked her to death. Part of the body, especially the belly, had begun to decompose. But the face was still recognisable. He said the corpse was left there as evidence and that they would only bury the girl once the police gave them the go-ahead to do so. One of the tenants and a close friend to Francis, who gave his name as Innocent, described the slain girl as too precious to lose. He said the victim could cook any type of food and when somebody sent her on errand, she would promptly go without any argument. He said, “This is not the type of girl anybody can lose. Great injustice has been done to the little girl. We hope the government will intervene in this matter.” The spokesman for the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr. Onyekaozuru Orji, confirmed the incident and said the Police had arrested the alleged killer. SOCIAL ISSUES: President calls Boko-Haram for Dialogue!!!
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan challenged violent Islamist sect
Boko Haram on Thursday to identify themselves and state clearly their
demands as a basis for talks, while acknowledging that military
confrontation alone will not end their insurgency.
In an interview with Reuters at the presidential villa in the capital Abuja, Jonathan also said there was no doubt that Boko Haram had links with other jihadist groups outside Nigeria.
"If they clearly identify themselves now and say this is the reason why we are resisting, this is the reason why we are confronting government or this is the reason why we destroy some innocent people and their properties ... then there will be a basis for dialogue," Jonathan said.
"We will dialogue, let us know your problems and we will solve your problem but if they don't identify themselves, who will you dialogue with?"
But he cautioned that the crisis would be much harder to resolve than the one in the oil rich southeastern Niger Delta, which was largely defused in 2009 under an amnesty he helped broker.

NIGERIA JUSTICE?: Mechanic To Die By Hanging For Stealing Mere Car Stereo
When our politicians and so called leaders are stealing millions and chopping
our subsidy money, a motor mechanic has been sentenced to death by
hanging for armed robbery. He was sentenced to death for robbing a
University Lecturer of his car stereo at gun point in company of another
accomplice, now deceased.
Prosecution led by the State Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr. Marcel Okoh called four witnesses to prove its case.
The mechanic along with another person were accused of robbing one Johnson Unuerho of his car stereo on the 29th of June, 2002 armed with a gun at Okpara Inland within Isiokolo judicial division.
However the 2nd accused persons one Gabriel Iyerowho, a driver was discharged and acquitted.
The victim of the robbery incident, who was PW2 (prosecution witness), a Principal Lecturer attached to the College of Education Warri, narrated how he tip-toed to the window, opened the blind gently and saw the 1st accused person, Patrick Ekeh and another member of the gang now deceased before shouting for help.
Justice Fred of Oleh High Court in Delta, in his judgment stated that “in the final analysis, I uphold defence of alibi of the 2nd accused persons. It ought to have been investigated by the police but was not. And besides, he was not one of those sighted by the PW2 when he took a peep through the window of his house and so no evidence fixing him at the scene and sufficient to dislodge the alibi raised by him.
While sentencing the accused, he said, “this is an offence of armed robbery for which I have no discretion. The penalty is death and I am not in a position not to impose it. To this end, the accused person is sentenced to death by handing in the neck until he is dead”, the judge stated.

SHOCKING: Baby Born Without Arms, Legs in Bauchi
A baby girl without arms and legs has been born in Dunomari in Sakwa
village of Zaki Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The strange baby,
which was born to Ahmadu Didda, a peasant farmer from Dunomari village
and his wife, Rukaiyya on January 13 came without both arms and legs.
The father of the baby named Fatima said the family was grateful to God
for giving them the child describing her as beautiful.
Ahmadu said Fatima who was born at home in Sandigalua village in Zaki Local Government Area and the mother were both healthy. The couple made a passionate appeal to both government and well-meaning individuals to come to their aid to care for the child.
He said, “this is a gift from God but it won’t be easy for us to raise Fatima because without legs and hands, she needs special care and attention. We feel sorry for her but with the assistance from government and individuals I know that she will live a good life.”
In a special appeal, Chairman of Disabled in Sakwa, Abdullahi Gindi, who is blind, said it was the duty of society to ensure that Fatima was not discriminated against as a result of her condition.
“She needs to be assisted. We are grateful that she was born a healthy child. She sucks normally and so we need to protect her. But her parents are poor that is why we are calling for assistance so that Fatima would live.”

From all indications, it seems the actress in question enjoys going topless for the camera for reasons best known to her as several people in the industry who spoke to Peacefmonline.com were not surprised to see her pictures.

A fresh explosion rocked a bus terminal in Nigeria's violence-hit
city of Kano on Thursday forcing the area to be evacuated, the police
and army said.
"We just had an explosion, nobody can confirm the cause. No loss of life or injuries were recorded. The area is being evacuated," a police spokesman in the city, Magaji Majia, told AFP.
Army spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Iweha Ikedichi gave a similar account of the incident.
A witness however claimed two people were injured.
Soldiers and police have cordoned off the area, an AFP correspondent said.
"There was an explosion, there was no injury or death," an on-duty soldier told AFP.
Locals say the area, known as New Road, holds a bus terminal for people travelling to the country's eastern region, the home of the mainly Igbo ethnic group of Nigeria.
Last week 185 people died in Kano in multiple and coordinated bomb and gun attacks claimed by the Islamist group Boko Haram. A Nigerian police source told AFP on Thursday that roughly 200 people had been arrested following that attack.
